Our Commitment to Privacy
At Etymonix, we are strongly committed to protecting your privacy. We do not collect personal information about you unless you provide it to us
voluntarily. Furthermore, we only store and use this information for internal purposes, as detailed in this privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent, lease or trade your personal information with anyone under any circumstances, and we never intentionally share this
information except in the following situations:
1. with authorized intermediaries (e.g. RegSoft.com and RegNow) to the extent necessary to fulfill our obligations to you;
2. with your consent;
3. as required by law;
4. to protect Etymonix, its customers, or the public.
This privacy policy applies solely to Etymonix. You may review the privacy policy of each of our intermediaries using the following links:
RegSoft.com and RegNow
If you have any questions or concerns about our policy, or if you wish to review, request a correction or deletion of the personal information you
have given us, you can contact us at privacy@etymonix.com. Our objective is to ensure the security and
confidentiality of your personal information.
Orders
Orders can be submitted either online, by phone, fax or post mail and are
processed by our authorized reseller partners. Online order forms use the best industry-standard encryption methods, such as the Secure Socket
Layer (SSL) or Secure Electronic Transaction (SET) protocol, to provide a secure way to transmit your personal information. This ensures that no
other companies or individuals will be able to view or alter your information during transmission. While on a secure page, such as the order form, the
lock icon on the bottom of web browsers such as Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked.
When you place an order through one of our reseller partners, you are required to provide contact information (such as your name, address,
telephone number and email address) and financial information (such as your credit card number). The financial information is never transmitted to
us; it is only used by our reseller partners for billing purposes. The contact information is forwarded to us and is used to get in touch with you when
necessary. This includes emailing you the product registration information and notifying you of new product releases and special offers through our
free newsletter subscription. You may cancel this subscription at any time by following the directions outlined in the last newsletter you received.
Online Forms, Newsletters and Emails
Online forms include feedback or support requests, anonymous surveys and free newsletter subscriptions. Emails include any electronic
communication exchanged with us.
When you fill out an online form, required and optional fields are clearly indicated. We only use the submitted personal information to provide you
with the requested service.
Non-personal information gathered from online forms or exchanged through email may be used for internal purposes, such as to update our support
database and/or to improve our current and future products. We may also use submitted user comments as real user testimonials but we will only do
so after obtaining your consent.
We occasionally send out a free newsletter informing you about site and service updates, new product releases, and special offers. This
information is only sent to registered customers and to visitors who specifically request to receive our newsletter by providing us with an email
address. This email address is only used to send you the newsletter. You may cancel your subscription at any time by following the directions
outlined in the last newsletter you received.
Web Server Logs
Any access to our web site is automatically recorded by our web server. Like most standard web site servers, the information recorded may include
the originating Internet Protocol (IP) address, requested page, browser type, operating system, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp
and the referring web site address. This information is never associated with personally identifiable information (such as your name or email
address). It is primarily used to help diagnose problems with our server, to generate aggregate statistics for internal purposes, and to better serve
our web site visitors.
User Profiles
We do not create profiles of visitors to our web site.
Cookies
Our web site does not use cookies.
Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical,
electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. No personal information is actually stored online. It
is only stored off-line in a secure environment (locked facility, restricted access, firewall protection). Only employees who need the information to
perform a specific job are granted access to user information.
Public User Communities
This web site may make chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or newsgroups available to its visitors. Because of the nature of these
communities, any information you post becomes public. Consequently, you should exercise caution before disclosing any information. Be aware that
these services may increase your risk of receiving "spam" or unsolicited email.
